Job summary

Veolia seeks a field-based Water Treatment Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences across client facilities. You will train local teams, perform maintenance, and implement process changes to assure compliance.

The role requires significant travel, often 1–2 weeks or longer, and involves laboratory testing, reporting, and coordination with the SWOT team. Responsibilities include operating pumps and valves, collecting samples, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions on Wastewater treatment processes.
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment operations or related field.
• Travel readiness; ability to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia facilities during vacations and absences.
• Train and develop local technicians, and prepare training materials.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices across facilities.
• Support new account start-ups and coordinate with SWOT team for tasks.
• Troubleshoot process issues and assist in data collection and reporting.
• Operate pumps, motors, and valves to regulate flow in WWTP.
• Test wastewater samples and record data accurately.
