Job summary

TalentWoo is seeking a Regional Vice President of Land Acquisition to lead the East Region's land sourcing, valuation, negotiation, and entitlements. This role oversees the land acquisition team and collaborates on proformas and development planning across markets including Charlotte, Raleigh, and adjacent regions.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance, entitlements, and development processes, with 10+ years in real estate transactions and 5+ years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Real Estate preferred.
• 10+ years in real estate transactions including valuation, escrow, and trustee sales.
• 5+ years supervisory experience; valid driver’s license; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop an annual regional acquisition plan outlining geographic, product and pricing goals.
• Lead and develop the Land Acquisition team and collaborate with Land Development VP on proformas and feasibility.
• Oversee proposals, financial analyses, risk mitigation, LOIs, and purchase agreements.
• Manage acquisition escrow, track milestones, and brief management on timing and targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, and property owners in the markets.
• Monitor market trends and opportunities to grow acquisition activities.
• Ensure policies and internal controls are understood and followed.
• Coordinate with third parties and governmental agencies on approvals as needed.
