Job summary

Lakefield Veterinary Group seeks an Area Manager to drive growth and operational excellence across a portfolio of veterinary hospitals. The role blends hands-on leadership with data-driven management to ensure adherence to policies and standards while championing change initiatives and team development.

Travel regionally with onsite presence four days per week and occasional evenings/weekends for critical initiatives or events. Leadership focus on culture, safety, and high-quality client care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary hospital or human healthcare experience.
• Experience in multi-site operations and leadership.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and healthcare documentation standards.
• Experience with practice management systems (ezyVet preferred).

Responsibilities

• Be present in assigned hospitals at least 4 days per week and coach leadership.
• Drive local market growth: new client acquisition and retention.
• Coordinate recruitment strategies to support growth and service delivery.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance reviews.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and standardized workflows across hospitals.
