Job summary

Lakefield Veterinary Group is seeking a Regional Medical Director to guide medical strategy across regional hospitals in Washington. You will mentor medical leaders, align clinical practices with Lakefield standards, and drive high-quality patient care while improving hospital performance.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, cross-hospital collaboration, and development of medical teams, with travel across the region and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required.
• Active veterinary license in good standing; ability to obtain licensure in applicable states as needed.
• Minimum of five years' experience in clinical veterinary practice.
• Minimum of two years in a leadership role within a practice.
• Strong clinical background with demonstrated leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic medical leadership to area hospitals.
• Help hospitals establish and advance a medical vision aligned with Lakefield’s standards of care.
• Collaborate with hospital medical teams to ensure Lakefield hospitals are outstanding within the veterinary profession.
• Identify strengths and opportunities for improvement and pathways for growth across the region.
• Provide strategic leadership to ensure high-quality medicine and patient care across the region.
• Foster culture, patient care, and team engagement through innovative approaches.
