Job summary

Dal-Tile, the leading tile and natural stone manufacturer in the United States and a Mohawk Industries subsidiary, is seeking a Sales Representative to grow regional market share and service top accounts.

You will conduct weekly sales calls, prepare reports, and develop monthly sales strategies while analyzing area markets and product data to tailor your sales approach. Competitive salary and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and some college highly preferred.
• Computer skills to include functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes/email.
• 4 years prior selling experience.
• Prior customer service experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts weekly sales calls - services existing customers and cold calls potential customers (avg 4-5 per week).
• Prepares weekly Sales and Call reports.
• Develops monthly strategy for sales calls and monthly travel calendar.
• Conducts area market analysis of top accounts in each area (dealers, contractors, builders).
• Researches area market product data to determine types, styles and sizes most purchased.
• Grows market share by increasing sales while maintaining product margins.
• Completes Positive Action Forms for all cold calls resulting in a display or sale.
• Utilizes influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in showrooms.
• Conducts client follow-ups via phone, letters and/or emails.
• Establishes client files and timely follow up on programs and projects.
• Provides PK seminars to customers.
• Utilizes On Demand reporting to achieve sales objectives.
• Performs other duties as required
