Aggreko plc is seeking a Regional Technical Specialist to support the Gulf/South East region. This full-time role ensures customers receive reliable power, heating and cooling by planning projects, performing maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.

The position involves up to 50% travel, collaboration with recruiters and service-center managers, and mentoring junior technicians. Aggreko offers a competitive bonus program, a company vehicle, training, and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in service of power generators and/or HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and determine tonnage/kW requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and obtain safety cards as needed.

Responsabilités

• Provide sales support for technical inquiries and assist project planning, with up to 50% travel.
• Partner with recruiting and service center leadership for technician scheduling.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of generators, engines, electrical gear, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and customer sites and lead repairs.
• Mentor technicians and operate solo or with a team on-site.

We are hiring immediately for full time Regional Technical Specialist to support the Gulf/South East region– a role that is critical in making sure our customers get the electricity, heating and cooling they need.

What you’ll do:

• Sales support for Technical questions, project planning meetings, travel to support projects and project management- up to 50% travel.

• Partner with recruiting/ first interviewer, support service center manager with technician planning

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs

• Be a mentor for Technicians as directed.

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

We’re experts, which means you’ll have the following skills and experience:

• High School diploma/GED

• 5+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs (Technical Service Specialist)

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics

• Experience with 5S/6S (GSCS)

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
