Job summary

Aggreko plc is hiring a Regional Technical Specialist to support the Gulf/South East region. This full-time role focuses on delivering power, heating and cooling solutions to customers and communities, with significant field work and travel.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, HVAC equipment, diesel engines and distribution systems, troubleshoot issues, and mentor technicians while coordinating project support and planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Sales support for technical questions and project planning meetings.
• Travel to support projects up to 50%
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations; handle repairs
• Mentor technicians as directed
• Work solo or with a team to set up and operate equipment at sites and shops

What you'll do:

• Sales support for Technical questions, project planning meetings, travel to support projects and project management- up to 50% travel.

• Partner with recruiting/ first interviewer, support service center manager with technician planning

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs

• Be a mentor for Technicians as directed.

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

We're experts, which means you'll have the following skills and experience:

• High School diploma/GED

• 5+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs (Technical Service Specialist)

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics

• Experience with 5S/6S (GSCS)

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
