Aggreko plc in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Field Technician for Temperature Control or Power. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, testing, and commissioning of power generation and HVAC equipment to keep customers’ operations running safely and reliably.

Based at the Jacksonville service center, you may travel locally in a company vehicle and occasionally work overtime or weekends. A valid driver’s license and 4–7 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 4-7 years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, reading schematics.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Based out of Jacksonville, FL service center with daily field work in company vehicle.
• Possibility of overtime and weekend work; potential travel to customer locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, industrial chillers, and/or oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and customer sites and carry out repairs.
• Operate equipment alone or with a technician team at shop and on customer sites.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Field Technician Temperature Control or Power in Jacksonville, FL.

You’ll perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, testing, and commissioning of Aggreko power generation and HVAC equipment. This role supports both shop and field operations by ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for customer deployment while adhering to Aggreko's safety, quality, and operational standards.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Jacksonville, FL service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle.


• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel anywhere our customers need services.


• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, including industrial chillers, and/or oil free air compressors


• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs


• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

You are:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience


• 4-7 years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs


• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics


• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card


• Valid driver’s license


• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
