Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Technician 1 based in Pearland, TX. You’ll be stationed at the Pearland service center and may work overtime or weekends with occasional travel. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical gear, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors.

Ideal candidates have a 4+ year track record with generators, can read schematics, and hold a valid driver’s license. Some roles may require TWIC/DOT medical cards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators with inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• May need TWIC card or valid DOT medical card depending on customer requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• Base at Pearland, TX service center, with potential overtime/weekends.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 1 based inPearland, TX.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.

We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Pearland, TX. service center.
• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and occasionally on customer locations and handle the repairs.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
