Job summary

Aggreko is hiring a Regional Technical Specialist to support the Gulf/South East region. This full-time role involves traveling to job sites and supporting projects with technical expertise on power generation, HVAC, and related equipment.

You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and mentor technicians, with strong emphasis on safety and effective project planning. Aggreko offers training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience calculating nominal/effective tonnage or kW requirements.
• Knowledge of 5S/6S (GSCS).
• May require TWIC card or DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects under 50 lbs.
• Travel up to 50% based on customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Sales support for technical questions, project planning meetings, and travel to support projects, up to 50% travel.
• Partner with recruiting/first interviewer; support service center manager with technician planning.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and customer locations and handle repairs.
• Mentor Technicians as directed.
• Operate equipment at shop or customer sites solo or with another technician.

What you’ll do:

• Sales support for Technical questions, project planning meetings, travel to support projects and project management- up to 50% travel.

• Partner with recruiting/ first interviewer, support service center manager with technician planning

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs

• Be a mentor for Technicians as directed.

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

We’re experts, which means you’ll have the following skills and experience:

• High School diploma/GED

• 5+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs (Technical Service Specialist)

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics

• Experience with 5S/6S (GSCS)

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
