Job summary

Kennedy Jenks seeks a Technical Services Regional Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental team. This high-visibility role aligns technical resources with project delivery, develops future leaders, and drives continuous improvement across the firm.

The role partners with managers to optimize resources, ensures successful delivery of complex projects, and supports workforce planning and succession initiatives. 25% travel may be required across offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field required; master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering consulting experience, preferably within water/wastewater.
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors, team leaders, and project teams.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading people, projects, teams, departments, or technical organizations.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary project delivery and design processes.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence across disciplines, offices, and teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
• A leadership approach that balances accountability, teamwork, and employee development.
• A broad organizational perspective that prioritizes firmwide success over individual disciplines or business units.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Technical Services discipline leaders and staff.
• Manage performance of the Technical Services organization, ensuring resources are optimized to meet current and projected workload demands.
• Partner with business managers, project managers, and business development leaders to align resources and priorities.
• Support the successful delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects, promoting efficient design delivery while maintaining standard of care.
• Promote technical excellence, quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
• Foster collaboration across disciplines, offices, and teams.
• Develop, mentor, and support current and future leaders.
• Support organizational growth, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
