Job summary

GRO is seeking a Talent and Recruitment Specialist to drive workforce growth through strategic recruitment, talent development, and coordinated onboarding and offboarding across all GRO locations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will manage job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and onboarding milestones.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR coordination, or related HR operations.
• Experience onboarding and pre-employment coordination.
• Ability to travel 40–50% across Ohio and Illinois.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HR information systems.
• Experience building relationships with colleges, workforce partners, and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment for approved vacancies and partner with hiring managers to clarify staffing needs, timelines, and interview plans.
• Create, post, update, and close job advertisements across boards and recruitment systems.
• Source candidates through direct outreach, networks, referrals, colleges, and community organizations.
• Review applications, conduct screenings, schedule interviews, and maintain timely candidate communication.
• Coordinate approved offers and hiring documentation; track start dates and requirements.
