Job summary

NYC Department of Social Services is seeking an Administrative Community Relations Specialist NM-II to serve as Director of EFNAP. You will direct operations, oversee budgets, and build partnerships with emergency food networks, CBOs, and vendors.

A required four-year degree with extensive community relations and administrative experience is needed. The role emphasizes leadership, policy development, and strategic planning within a large city program, with 9am–5pm hours and opportunities to work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with four years in community liaison/relations and admin capacity.
  • Eight years of experience with a high school diploma alternative as described in the job listing.
  • Experience in planning, organizing and evaluating large community programs.

Responsibilities

  • Direct program operations with independent authority over planning, resource allocation and performance monitoring.
  • Partner with the Executive Director to monitor fund utilization and implement control systems.
  • Make decisions affecting program design, service delivery and fiscal management.
  • Serve as senior liaison between HRA and emergency food networks; build collaborations with CBOs and vendors.
  • Oversee expense reports and inform policy decisions based on balances and usage.
  • Analyze periodic reports to monitor food vendor delivery and identify ordering trends.
