Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a regional leader to manage the success and profitability of small business in the region, supervising Small Business Underwriters and AMS assistants. You will train and coach staff, build agency partnerships, and drive strategic initiatives aligned with corporate goals.

Responsibilities include guiding underwriting adherence, working with field managers to meet regional budgets, and ensuring high-quality service and outcomes for agents and customers.

Qualifications

• College degree with 6 years Underwriting, Agency Management, Marketing, or Field Underwriting experience.
• The following experience is preferred; 3 years Supervisory, 1 year Loss Control, and 1 year Claims.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the development and production of profitable business through supervision, training, coaching, and monitoring of small business activities.
• Monitors adherence to underwriting guidelines and provides feedback to Small Business Underwriters/Agents.
• Sets regional financial goals with field operations manager and territory managers.
• Establishes procedures to ensure service standards for the Small Business team.
• Oversees activities to ensure compliance with standards and improves efficiency through technology.
• Supports regional sales meetings and ensures effective communication with agents.
