Selective Insurance seeks a seasoned leader to manage the success and profitability of small business within the region. You will supervise Small Business Underwriters and AMS assistants, coach teams, and build strong agency relationships.

Responsibilities include guiding underwriting practices, partnering with field managers, and driving regional financial goals while ensuring compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote profitable business by supervising, training, coaching, and monitoring Small Business activities and goals.
• Monitor adherence to underwriting guidelines and provide guidance to Small Business Underwriters/Agents.
• Collaborate with field operations managers to achieve regional financial goals.
• Establish procedures to ensure service standards for the Small Business team.
• Oversee workflows and productivity to comply with standards and regulations.
• Encourage technology adoption among agents to improve efficiency and service.
• Participate in regional meetings to promote Small Business strategies.
• Monitor communications to agents and follow up on marketing effectiveness.
• Travel within territory for agent offices (about 20% of time).
