Job summary

AECOM is seeking a responsive, organized SH&E Manager to lead Safety, Health & Environment efforts for the East Region. The role blends remote and in-office work with 25–35% travel, and can be based in several East Region offices including Tampa, FL.

You will guide safety programs, train staff, and collaborate with operations to meet performance targets. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, CSP or CIH certification, 8+ years of SH&E experience, and strong data analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of SH&E experience.
• Professional certification as CSP or CIH.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to motivate others and build teams.
• Ability to influence others to work safely and effectively.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
• Experience with data management or analytics platforms like Power BI or Power Automate.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible and active safety support across the region.
• Monitor and assess safety programs at diverse sites.
• Identify actionable solutions to safety, health and environmental issues.
• Lead the incident management process and verify corrective actions.
• Review safety plans, training programs, and audit protocols.
• Recommend policy changes affecting region operations.
• Train and coach employees at all levels.
• Assist operations in meeting safety performance targets.
• Conduct safety training and lead meetings with diverse workers.
