Job summary

V2X is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site support for IDS, access control, CCTV and GBR across the West South Central region. You will perform maintenance, software updates and end-user instructions during visits, with travel to job sites as required.

The role requires 3–5 years in electronic alarm systems, CCTV and access control, plus programming software experience. A related college degree or HS with experience, and a valid driver's license are required; ability to obtain

Qualifications

• 3–5 years related professional work experience.
• Knowledge with electronic alarm systems including CCTV hardware.
• Experience with electronic access control systems and related hardware.
• Experience programming software for alarm and access control systems.
• General knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and CRMs.
• General computer hardware knowledge.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and service repairs for IDS, access control, CCTV, and GBR.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections per manufacturer's recommendations on these systems.
• Provide system performance analysis on the IDS platform.
• Provide software upgrades and end-user operational instructions during visits.
• Document all calls for service and coordinate with the tech support center.
• Assist with field installations of IDS, Access Control, CCTV and GBR systems.
• Maintain the company vehicle and provide 24/7 emergency coverage as needed.
• On-call service and up to 100% travel.
