Job summary

V2X is seeking a field-based Security Systems Technician to supervise and administer electronic security contracts, ensuring contract compliance and program execution across alarm, access control, CCTV, and GBR systems.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on experience with alarm and access control systems, familiarity with CCTV, and the ability to obtain a secret clearance. Travel and field installations may be involved in this position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with electronic alarm systems.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with electronic access control systems.
• Experience using programming software associated with electronic alarm and access control systems.
• CCTV and GBR experience is a plus.
• Two years of related college is a plus.
• General knowledge of computer hardware and experience with Windows OS & MS Office.
• Ability to obtain secret clearance as required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and service repairs for alarm, access control, CCTV and GBR systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections per manufacturer recommendations.
• Gather information from field to replicate reported problems in lab environment.
• Provide 24/7 emergency service capability as needed (on-call).
• Document all service calls and maintenance, interface with the service center.
• Provide information to Sales and Customer Service on product applications.
• Travel may be required.
• Assist with field installations of IDS, Access Control, CCTV and GBR systems.
