Job summary

V2X Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician to provide field support for Advantor customers across the Midwest and Great Lakes region. Duties include maintenance, system upgrades, and on-site customer assistance with IDS, CCTV, access control, and GBR systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. Expect travel to multiple sites and potential on-call coverage, with compensation of $30.00–$37.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic alarm systems including CCTV and hardware.
• Experience with electronic access control systems and hardware.
• Experience programming software for alarm/access control systems.
• Comfort with Windows OS, MS Office, and CRMs.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and service repairs for IDS, access control, CCTV, and GBR systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections per manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide system performance analysis for IDS operational platform.
• Update and implement software upgrades as needed.
• Provide end-user operation instructions during visits.
• Document service calls and maintenance in the CRM and reports.
• Assist with field installations of IDS, Access Control, CCTV and GBR systems.
• Ensure all service documentation is completed daily and submitted to Service Department.
• Maintain vehicle and provide 24/7 emergency service capability as needed.
• Travel up to 100% as required.
