Job summary

attocube systems, a leading developer of cryogenic measurement and positioning systems, seeks a regional sales professional for the USA (Berkeley HQ). You will build and grow a regional customer base across academia and industry, manage opportunities from lead generation to closing, and collaborate with R&D, PM, and marketing to expand market segments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physics, Materials Science, Nanotechnology or Engineering (PhD preferred).
• Several years of experience in technical sales of complex capital equipment.
• Strong interest in quantum technologies and innovative tech.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.
• Excellent English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively build and sustainably develop a regional customer base in scientific and industrial environments.
• Manage existing customers and expand long-term strategic customer relationships.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within research institutes, universities, research centers, and industrial companies.
• Build and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline, including lead generation, qualification, and closing.
• Independently manage ongoing customer projects throughout the entire sales cycle.
• Conduct market analyses and monitor relevant technology trends, research fields, and competitors.
• Develop a deep understanding of products, technologies, and customer value propositions.
• Prepare, review, and follow up on quotations with PM and Application Specialists.
• Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and technical consulting discussions for cryogenic measurement and positioning systems.
• Represent the company at international trade fairs, conferences, workshops, and scientific events.
• Network within the scientific community and build relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers.
• Support the creation of sales/marketing materials, presentations, and market intelligence.
• Collaborate with R&D, PM, Application Experts, and Marketing to develop new market segments.
• Drive expansion of industrial customer business focusing on quantum technologies, semiconductors, advanced materials, photonics, and high-tech manufacturing.
