Regional Sales Manager position overseeing the domestic sales team and future Canada for the Industrial Refrigeration Business Unit of Sporlan. Responsibilities include managing own territory, directing territory managers, sales reps, and distributors to increase sales volume and margin, motivating staff, securing regional distribution, and developing strategic accounts. Supports the Corporate Win Strategy.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Has Direct Reports
Manages team performance and development, interacts proactively with management and support departments, represents the company at trade shows, and reports to the Sporlan Northern Regional Manager.
Ensures regional sales goals are met, works with sales teams on motivation, training, and development, manages key accounts, and maintains client relationships. Ensures customer satisfaction, resolves conflicts, and advocates the Win Strategy.
Gathers and interprets market data, identifies new revenue opportunities, monitors competitors, and reports regularly. Maintains technical knowledge of products and features, and supports cross-divisional product strategies.
This position can be located remotely in the Central or Eastern US.
- College degree with 6-10 years' experience in Industrial Refrigeration sales or a related field.
- Ability to staff, train, develop, and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and advanced PC skills.
- Willingness to travel 50-70% overnight as needed.
- Product knowledge and system certification preferred.
- Proven ability to motivate and grow sales in the territory, with a track record of exceeding targets.
