Regional Sales Manager position overseeing the domestic sales team and future Canada operations for the Industrial Refrigeration Business Unit of Sporlan. Responsibilities include managing own territory, directing territory managers, sales reps, and distributors to grow sales volume and margin, motivating staff, securing regional distribution, and strategic account development. Supports the Corporate Win Strategy.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Has direct reports and manages team performance and development. Works proactively with divisional management and support departments to meet or exceed customer service requirements. Represents the company at trade shows and professional activities. Reports to the Sporlan Northern Regional Manager.
Ensures sales goals are met within the region by working with sales managers and representatives through placement, motivation, training, and development. Manages key accounts and distributors, coaching staff to develop strong client relationships.
Ensures customer satisfaction with Parker products and services, resolving conflicts effectively. Supports the Win Strategy.
Gathers and analyzes market data, identifies new revenue opportunities, and monitors competitors’ activities. Maintains knowledge of competitive products and market changes, providing regular reports to management.
Develops and maintains technical knowledge of products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits. Ensures staff development through training.
Assists in strategic planning to align products and services with market needs. Supports cross-divisional product initiatives.
This position can be located remotely in the Central US or possibly the Eastern US.
- College degree with 6-10 years' experience in industrial refrigeration sales or related fields, or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to staff, train, develop, coach, and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with advanced PC skills. Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills required.
- 50% to 70% overnight travel, or as needed.
- Product knowledge and certifications preferred.
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and cross-group selling.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets.
