Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager oversees the domestic sales team and future expansion into Canada for the Industrial Refrigeration Business Unit of Sporlan. Responsibilities include maintaining and supporting their territory, directing territory managers, sales representatives, and distributors to increase sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts. The role involves motivating staff, securing regional product distribution, maintaining agreements, developing strategic accounts, and supporting the Corporate Win Strategy.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction
This role has direct reports and involves managerial responsibilities in team performance and development. It requires proactive interaction with divisional management and support departments to meet or exceed customer service requirements. The manager represents the company at trade shows and professional activities, reporting to the Sporlan Northern Regional Manager.
Responsibilities
Achieve sales goals within the region, work effectively with sales teams, manage key accounts and distributors, and develop client relationships. Ensure customer satisfaction, resolve conflicts, and gather market data to identify new revenue opportunities. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and market activity, and keep management informed of changes affecting product distribution. Develop technical knowledge of products and applications, and support strategic planning to meet product and service needs.
Qualifications
This position can be located remotely in the Central or possibly Eastern US. Candidates should have a college degree with 6-10 years' experience in industrial refrigeration sales or related fields, with skills in staffing, training, coaching, and motivating teams. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and PC proficiency are required. Travel of 50-70% may be necessary. Product knowledge and system certification are preferred. Proven ability to motivate sales growth and cross-group selling is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $97,600 to $162,750 annually, based on experience and market factors. Participation in a Sales Incentive Plan.
