Job summary

Orgill is seeking a district sales manager to lead a team of sales representatives, focusing on growing market share in the assigned territory. The role emphasizes coaching, training, and field leadership to maximize dealer engagement and sales performance.

The position requires strong communication, planning, and industry knowledge, with travel as a core component to support customers and drive growth. A proven track record in hardware/lumber sales and supervision is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers, vendors, reps and employees (oral & written).
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement sales/marketing programs.
• Knowledge of hardware, lumber and building materials industry concepts, practices, procedures.

Responsibilities

• 80% in-field selling with sales reps; identify opportunities and prospect new customers.
• Coach and train reps on promoting and selling Orgill products and programs.
• Develop and implement training using Orgill LMS; ensure reps are competent in core categories.
• Collaborate with Business Development Manager for new account development and rep collaboration.
• Monitor competitive activity and implement new sales techniques; report district results and rep proficiency.
