JOB DESCRIPTION

LOCATION: Central United States (preferred locations: Chicago, Dallas, St. Louis, Kansas City, or other centrally located hubs)

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Sales & Marketing

The Central USA Regional Manager is responsible for driving sales, business development, and growth within the central region of the United States. This role ensures strategic goals are met by managing regional initiatives, maintaining strong relationships with key distributors, supporting local teams, and aligning with management's objectives. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, regional market knowledge, and the ability to drive performance across multiple states.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and collaborating closely with the Engineering, Customer Service, and Technical Service teams, the Regional Sales Manager will:

  • Travel up to 70% of the time to visit, educate, and collaborate with dealers, consultants, reps, and end-user clients to ensure Champion and Bi-Line products are specified, stocked, and preferred over competing brands.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive year-over-year sales growth for Champion and Bi-Line products, increasing market share.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key dealers within major buying groups to secure Champion/Bi-Line as the brand of choice, focusing on nurturing and expanding these partnerships.
  • Conduct product presentations, demos, and training sessions to increase brand awareness and product knowledge.
  • Operate effectively as a remote employee, managing the contracted sales force through territory visits, impactful reports, and business plans for each rep group to ensure consistent growth.
  • Engage with industry organizations like FCSI to enhance brand recognition and secure future opportunities.
  • Attend industry events such as trade shows, FCSI events, and buying group meetings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine strategies and identify product needs.
  • Contribute to marketing and brand awareness strategies by conducting market research and presenting insights.
  • Partner with internal departments to support customer needs and resolve issues.
  • Track sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline activity, reporting regularly to leadership.
  • Exhibit excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of the foodservice industry, including relationships with dealerships, consultants, buying groups, and end users.
  • Technical expertise in equipment, with the ability to read manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Proficient understanding of the dealer/rep distribution model and kitchen design process.
  • Proven sales record in a B2B environment.
  • Results-driven team player in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, MS Office, and Photoshop (or equivalents).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Foodservice Equipment Industry, focusing on driving product sales and specifications.
