Job Summary

We seek a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager (RSM) responsible for meeting sales goals in designated territories, working with independent sales reps to promote and support Mission products, achieve sales and profitability targets, and ensure customer satisfaction. The role involves traveling, product demonstrations, training, technical support, and managing relationships with engineering firms, control contractors, and end-users. The RSM may also manage direct sales staff or support high-profile field service issues.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Manage independent reps and possibly direct salespeople within the region.
  • Perform product demonstrations and presentations virtually and in-person.
  • Supervise inside sales and customer service concerning specific issues.
  • Collaborate with reps to meet sales goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain technical proficiency with all Mission products and applications.
  • Develop relationships with production locations to manage orders and logistics.
  • Build relationships with engineering firms and customers to promote Mission products.
  • Maintain pricing strategies and support regional trade shows and training events.
  • Support high-profile projects and technical service issues.
  • Track sales activities and report on projects.
  • Provide industry feedback and participate in strategy, product development, and marketing input.

Knowledge And Skills Requirements

  • 25-50% overnight travel expected; visit territories 1-3 times annually.
  • Ability to work remotely via virtual platforms.
  • Ability to work independently.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field.
  • 7-10 years of outside sales management experience in a technical, consultative environment, with emphasis on relationship building.
  • Experience in Water/Wastewater is a plus but not required.
