Job Overview: The Regional Manager possesses a high technical aptitude and is accomplished in influencing brand preference, along with ability to articulate the value proposition part of the solution selling process. This person is well versed in how to influence specifying and purchasing decisions, relative to the advantages of Milton Roy Positive Displacement pump & mixer technologies and related brands for flow control and chemical injection applications. Territory responsibility covers Northeast US States across multiple end markets, including chemical processing, oil & gas, general industrial, and water/wastewater treatment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Tactically execute strategic plans to grow annual sales to meet company goals while proactively supporting all sales activities within the region.
  2. Collaborate with Ingersoll Rand sister companies where market synergies exist.
  3. Be knowledgeable about target markets, products, and industries; bring added value through your energy and ambition.
  4. Make recommendations on channel partner changes and market segmentation to meet financial objectives.
  5. Manage existing sales channels, establish sales targets, review performance, develop strategies, and supervise corrective actions.
  6. Provide technical product and sales tools training for channel partners and support their sales efforts.
  7. Provide data and policy training as required and maintain a 'Report Card' via Distributor Dashboard for all channel partners, including forecasts and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree
  2. High mechanical aptitude with substantial experience and formal post-graduate training related to the technology and customer industries.
  3. 5+ years selling pumps and related process equipment.

Core Competencies:

  1. Experience in selling through independent channels and managing EPCs, OEMs, and Key Accounts.
  2. Knowledge of chemical processes, chemical injection, and treatment using metering Positive Displacement pumps; knowledge of industrial Mixing and Peristaltic technologies is advantageous.
  3. Strong relationship-building skills based on credibility and integrity.
  4. Proven sales record to end-users through reps and distributors.
  5. Experience working with specifying engineers.
  6. Existing network of respected and trusted customers in the region.
  7. Knowledge of the entire region and local residence preferred.
  8. Self-starter with confidence, team-working skills, and goal-oriented mindset.
  9. Professional appearance, actions, and communication skills.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, ERP systems.

Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering

Travel & Work Requirements:

  • Approximately 65% travel expected.
