Job summary

BD is seeking a Regional Manager to achieve sales objectives by effectively managing personnel and resources within the Peripheral Intervention business unit. The role requires directing district sales activities, recruiting sales and clinical staff, and fostering district development to meet company goals.

The position emphasizes leadership, strategic coordination with the Area VP of Sales, and active travel across the region to drive performance and ensure alignment with marketing plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Five years of outside medical sales experience or equivalency.
• Demonstrated human relations and communication skills.
• Proven top 20% sales performance in multiple years.
• Successful proven track record of leading people and/or teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement, direct, and control district sales activities.
• Recommend, implement, and promote contests and other incentive programs.
• Recruit, interview, and select sales and clinical personnel.
• Develop district personnel to assume increased responsibilities.
• Operate a district sales office and maintain pertinent records.
• Plan and conduct district sales meetings.
• Communicate with the Area Vice President of Sales on pricing, product acceptance, industry/competitive trends, and marketing strategies.
• Travel with sales associates and clinical specialists within the geography on a weekly basis.
• Recommend changes in compensation for district employees.
