Job summary

Echo Electric is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth for Mt. Vernon and Carbondale, IL branches and mentor the local sales teams. This role reports to the Sales Department and collaborates with branch leadership to capture opportunities and win bids.

You will analyze market conditions, manage budgets, and deliver strategic plans to meet revenue targets while maintaining strong customer relationships across industrial and contractor sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales and Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of six years progressive management and leadership experience, with a minimum of three years in the electrical distribution industry.
• Strong product knowledge of electrical products and applications.
• Data-driven with ability to interpret reports to support decisions.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the territory’s sales growth for Mt. Vernon and Carbondale, IL branches and support regional accounts.
• Develop and mentor branch sales teams and drive funnel communication between branches and accounts.
• Lead strategy discussions to maximize branch performance and achieve targets.
• Review financial performance metrics and ensure actions to meet or exceed goals.
• Educate management on P&L and key indicators, collaborating on interventions as needed.
• Provide inventory feedback and recommendations to align with territory needs.
• Set targets and develop plans to maximize sales and profitability in the region.
