Job summary

Echo Electric, a brand owned by Sonepar, seeks an Area Sales Manager to lead Mt. Vernon and Carbondale, IL branches, drive sales growth, and mentor branch teams while coordinating with broader markets.

You will develop plans to win bids, analyze performance, and build partnerships with industrial and contractor customers. A Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in management are required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business-related field.
• Minimum six years of progressive management experience in electrical distribution.
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop and execute sales plans with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversees territory efforts targeting key customers and growth opportunities.
• Guides managers to solve problems with win-win solutions.
• Leads branch sales team to evaluate and respond to market opportunities.
• Ensures action plans meet or exceed financial performance metrics.
• Educates managers on P&L and performance indicators.
• Receives inventory feedback and makes recommendations.
• Sets targets to maximize sales and profitability in the territory.
