Job summary

FluxTec is expanding its national sales organization and seeking Regional Sales Managers to build and grow a defined geographic territory in data center solutions. This hands-on hunter role focuses on creating opportunities, opening doors, and developing relationships from the ground up.

You will identify high-potential customers and projects, lead complex technical sales from initial introduction to close, and travel 50-70% to meet clients and attend conferences.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of outside sales in engineered mechanical, electrical, or industrial equipment for data center projects.
• Ability to prospect, open new accounts, and grow a territory.
• Proven success selling complex capital equipment with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to attend conferences and networking events.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50–70% depending on territory.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute a territory-development strategy focused on data center owners, operators, contractors, commissioning firms, engineering organizations, and equipment rental companies.
• Proactively identify target accounts, projects, and decision makers responsible for specifying FluxTec equipment.
• Generate new opportunities through direct outreach, referrals, industry networking, conferences, association events, and customer visits.
• Cultivate relationships and establish FluxTec as a trusted resource before, during, and after active projects.
• Lead the full sales process from prospecting through negotiation and close.
• Build a balanced pipeline with near-term and longer-term opportunities.
• Coordinate product demonstrations, lunch‑and‑learns, and technical presentations.
• Represent FluxTec at major data center conferences and regional events.
