First Merchants Bank in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to motivate, manage and lead the sales and service activities for all regions. You will guide Market Leaders and banking center management teams in reviewing goals and implementing tactical plans to achieve them.

The role requires eight years of sales management experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and active NMLS/S.A.F.E registration. Extensive travel is required to cover regional banking centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, business or a related field.
• Eight or more years of sales management experience.
• This position requires S.A.F.E Act registration via NMLS.
• Extensive travel to banking centers within the region.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and expand business development activities for the branch system through aggressive sales & marketing.
• Provide direction to marketing for development and implementation of marketing programs.
• Oversee market leaders and banking center management teams; set goals and appraise performance.
• Develop and supervise training programs for Market Leaders and banking center staff.
• Lead succession planning for market leaders and banking center managers.
