Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is seeking a Regional Workplace Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across transportation terminals, warehouses, and offices in the assigned region. You will partner with operations and leadership to promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education in Occupational Safety or related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• Professional safety certifications (CSP/ASP/CDS/OSHA) preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive workplace safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA and other regulations.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve regional safety programs across facilities.
• Partner with leadership to identify hazards, reduce risk, and foster a proactive safety culture.
• Lead investigations of injuries and incidents; perform root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training to employees, drivers, contractors, and leadership teams.
• Analyze safety metrics and KPIs and present findings to leadership.
• Support emergency preparedness, response planning, and business continuity across the region.
• Maintain accurate safety records, training documents, incident reports, and audit findings.
