Job summary

Forward Air Corporation seeks a Regional Workplace Safety Manager to lead safety programs across transportation terminals, warehouses, and offices in the assigned region. You will partner with operations leadership to foster a culture of safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety or related field preferred.
• Experience with OSHA, FMCSA, and DOT regulations.
• Strong ability to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA and other applicable regulations.
• Develop, implement and improve regional safety programs and procedures.
• Partner with operations leaders to identify hazards and reduce risk.
• Conduct facility inspections and safety audits across terminals, warehouses, and offices.
• Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training to employees, drivers, contractors, and leaders.
• Analyze safety trends and KPIs to drive improvements.
• Prepare safety reports for regional and corporate leadership.
• Support new facilities and changes with safety risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate safety records and training documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness and business continuity efforts.
• Collaborate with HR, Risk Management and other stakeholders on safety concerns.
