Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive workplace safety experience in transportation, logistics, warehousing, or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and regulatory compliance; familiarity with FMCSA/DOT preferred.
• Experience implementing safety programs across multiple facilities.
• Proven incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the region and work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, environmental, and other applicable regulations.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve regional safety programs and practices.
• Partner with leadership to identify hazards, reduce risk, and foster a proactive safety culture.
• Conduct facility inspections, safety audits, and compliance reviews.
• Lead investigations of injuries, vehicle incidents, near misses; perform root cause analyses.
• Deliver safety training to employees, drivers, contractors, and leadership teams.
• Analyze safety metrics to identify improvement opportunities and develop action plans.
• Prepare safety reports and present findings to regional/corporate leadership.
• Support new facility start-ups and operational changes with safety risk evaluations.
• Maintain safety records, training docs, incident reports, audit findings.
• Support emergency preparedness, response planning, and business continuity.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Risk Management and others on safety concerns.
