Job summary

Fairway Management, Inc. is seeking Roaming Maintenance Technicians to support property services across the Chillicothe/Marshall/Macon/Kirksville region. The role includes carpentry, painting, basic repairs, and frequent travel to regional properties and inspections.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• 5 years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience.
• HVAC EPA Type II Certification.
• 1–2 years of verifiable HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and installation experience.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and building operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and investor regulations and policies.
• Must be willing to do daily travel within region.
• Prepare for state agency, and investor inspections and ensure OSHA and EPA property compliance.
• Prioritize work orders for assigned properties.
• Ensure properties maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Be available for on call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Lead make ready process with unit turns in a timely manner, including painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Must be able to lift up to 55lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, outdoors in all weather.
• Willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors while operating a registered insured vehicle.
• Reports to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for all delegated tasks.
• Travel to and participate in regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
• Be alert to emergencies or suspicious activity and notify staff.
• Maintain relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Make the manager aware of health and safety concerns on site.
• Willing to work overtime as needed and approved.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC systems.
• Train assigned staff on company systems, building systems, and safety.
• Prepare properties for REAC or INSPIRE inspections.
