Job summary

People Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a program support specialist to assist LRRDS in waiver program implementations and to be the primary phone contact for new referrals.

You will input data into the NYS Department of Health database and track records, reports and information required by the contract. You may participate in assessments, conduct training for Headway waiver providers, and assist in reviewing Serious Reportable Incidents for QA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in human services or related field; Associate degree acceptable with relevant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Orleans and Wyoming counties.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with all program databases and input required information accurately.
• Explain the program and its limitations to inquiries.
• Assist and record referral information and know community resources.
• Ensure flow of paperwork, mail and email for both programs.
• Complete assessments of participants and provide training for provider agencies.
• Assist in reviewing Serious Reportable Incidents for QA compliance.
• Assist in management of housing program within waiver system.
• Assist in processing of new provider applications.
• Other duties as assigned.
