Reporting to the Head of Estates, you'll have responsibility for a diverse portfolio of healthcare properties, leading compliance, maintenance, and capital investment programmes while building strong partnerships with operational leaders and contractors across your region.

Why is this role different ?

This is far more than a traditional property management role. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Take ownership of a strategically important healthcare portfolio
  • Influence capital investment and improvement programmes
  • Work closely with senior operational and clinical leaders
  • Drive compliance, safety, and service excellence across multiple sites

Working collaboratively with Registered Managers, maintenance teams, contractors, and senior stakeholders, you'll provide expert guidance and leadership to ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, and operationally effective.

What you'll be doing:
Estate & Facilities Management
  • Manage a portfolio of healthcare properties across your designated region
  • Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities
  • Ensure properties remain safe, welcoming, fully operational, and compliant
  • Oversee the maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, and associated assets
  • Support the development and delivery of cyclical maintenance and improvement plans
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and healthcare-specific requirements
  • Monitor fire safety, health and safety, infection prevention, building compliance, and environmental standards
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, audits, inspections, and maintenance documentation
  • Identify estate-related risks and implement effective corrective actions
Capital Projects & Investment
  • Deliver regional CAPEX programmes and property improvement projects
  • Coordinate refurbishment, upgrade, and installation projects
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, contractors, and quality standards
  • Support future expansion, acquisitions, and estate development opportunities
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Procure services and obtain competitive quotations
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure consistently high standards
  • Work closely with operational teams to minimise disruption to patient care and service delivery

  • Provide guidance and support to site‑based maintenance teams and Registered Managers
  • Promote best practice in property compliance and facilities management
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Produce regular reports on compliance, maintenance performance, budgets, and project progress
