Job summary

Highlands Vista Group (HVG) is seeking an Operations Specialist based in Independence, MO. The role oversees MO/IL portfolio operations, travels to nearby communities, and supports transitions, new business, and staffing vacancies.

You will work with leadership to drive portfolio performance, mentor managers, and ensure strong resident satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising leasing teams, monitoring budgets, preparing operational reports, and ensuring compliance with housing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of property management experience with a proven track record.
• Experience leading site operations and supervising onsite teams.
• Ability to mentor peers and support leadership initiatives.
• Proficiency with Yardi Voyager.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building ability.
• Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative.
• Excellent time management, detail orientation, and thoroughness.
• Highly organized with multi-priority management.
• Self-starter in evolving role environments.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee community operations and ensure property standards are met.
• Supervise and support leasing team to achieve occupancy goals.
• Conduct property tours, process applications, and manage lease agreements.
• Oversee move-ins/outs and lease renewals.
• Address tenant concerns and maintain high customer service.
• Coordinate property maintenance and vendor services.
• Create and manage social media content to support leasing.
