Job summary

Asset Living in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Regional Manager to oversee operations of a housing community portfolio, including staff, leasing, maintenance, and financial administration.

You will ensure compliance with company policies, safety and fair housing guidelines, and deliver strong performance across regions with travel up to 50% annually. This leadership role requires strategic leasing management and a focus on resident satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff using company directives.
• Ensure staff training and coaching in compliance with Asset training benchmarks.
• Deal effectively with performance problems; document, communicate with HR and terminate when necessary.
• Prepare salary increase requests for Community Manager and assist with other team members.
• Approve all timesheets and verify hours, vacation, and signatures.
• Promote harmony and quality job performance of staff through leadership.
• Develop yearly marketing plan and leasing strategies.
• Monitor budgets, income and expenses; provide monthly evaluations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

4 years housing industry experience

1-2 years related experience

CAM or ARM certification preferred

Fair Housing Laws knowledge

OSHA requirements knowledge

Basic computer skills
