Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Regional Controller to oversee monthly financial statements and analyses for portfolios under management. You will coordinate audits and serve as the primary contact for technical accounting issues, ensuring internal controls and timely reporting to clients.

This role requires multi-family property accounting experience, a CPA preferred, and strong proficiency with Yardi Voyager and RealPage.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business field required.
MBA and CPA preferred.
Five or more years of accounting experience required.
Three+ years in multi-family property management accounting required.
Three+ years of direct management experience required.
Experience with Yardi Voyager and RealPage required.
Familiarity with GAAP in property management industry required.

Responsibilities

Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for managing partners, investors, and lenders.
Monitor debt agreements and ensure compliance with lending contracts.
Develop analyses and financial models to support regional leadership and clients.
Manage accounts payable for properties in the region.
Develop cash management reporting including monthly cash flow projections.
Ensure timely filing and reporting, meeting deadlines.
Ensure compliance with third-party client accounting policies and procedures.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Recruit, interview, hire, and develop associates; provide feedback.
