Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead property accounting across multiple properties, collaborating with property managers and regional leaders to ensure accurate, timely financial execution.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 3–5 years in accounting (property management preferred), and direct management experience. CPA is a plus and Yardi Voyager experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA license preferred.
• Three to five years of accounting experience required.
• Three to five years of property management experience preferred.
• Direct management experience required.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP in multifamily property management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information and reconcile accounts and statements, prepare journal entries and assist with budgets.
• Lead month-end and year-end close, prepare financial packages, variance analyses, and executive summaries.
• Develop and maintain accounting controls, policies, and practices to improve workflow and compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors for year-end financial audit.
