Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a highly adaptable Regional Program Specialist - Reserve to support SAF/IS programs overseas. Deployment typically lasts 6 months with remote training and in-person sessions; candidates must be prepared to live on a military base and operate in austere environments.

Responsibilities include delivering SAF services, supervising volunteers, and coordinating travel for mobile deployments.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, human resources management, community organization, social or health sciences, or related field is required; or related equivalent experience.
• Experience: A minimum of five years related experience in program management or related field is required.
• Preferred: Familiarity with military culture, regulations and protocol; experience with American Red Cross programs and services.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Communication Casework: Facilitate the delivery of emergency communication messages and related support services to military members and their families.
• Financial and Reporting Management: Monitor service delivery outcomes and ensure accurate documentation and reporting of program activities.
• Relationship Management and Community Outreach: Build relationships with military leadership and installation partners; conduct outreach and increase Red Cross visibility.
• Volunteer Management: Manage all phases of the volunteer engagement cycle and mentor leadership volunteers.
• Service Delivery Management: Ensure high-quality delivery of Red Cross programs; supervise volunteer teams and coordinate educational briefings.
• Mobile Deployment Readiness and Operational Support: Serve as a deployable member for a 6-month overseas assignment; maintain medical clearances and security standards.
