Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a highly adaptable Regional Program Specialist - Reserve to support Services to the Armed Forces (SAF) programs on overseas assignments. Reserve staff are deployed for approximately six months, with remote training and in-person sessions, and are required to live on a military installation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, human resources management, community organization, social or health sciences, or related field is required; or related equivalent experience.
• Experience: A minimum of five years related experience in program management or related field is required.
• Preferred Skill Set: A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required.
• Skills and Abilities: Requires strong computer skills. Public speaking skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing are required. Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in an individual or team environment. The ability to balance multiple priorities is essential.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate emergency communication messages and support services for military members and families.
• Coordinate follow-up services and log activities.
• Maintain rosters, unit contacts, and case logs in alignment with mission guidelines.
• Support contingency operations during high-volume events and serve as the local liaison for Hero Care casework.
• Manage deployment readiness and mobility for SAF/IS programs.
• Oversee volunteer engagement and supervision across programs.
