Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager within Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction to independently manage complex industrial preconstruction projects from site selection to contract execution across the NA region.

You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to define scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring permits and design align with Amazon's standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, Owner's Project Management Representative, or related role.
• 5+ years of project management experience from design through operation, including negotiating contracts.
• Experience within packaging, processing, or logistical facilities with complex equipment.
• Travel up to 60% nationwide; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through permitting and contract execution.
• Lead site selection, validation, scope development, and design management in line with Amazon's standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent large projects across various locations.
• Identify blockers, drive timely decisions, and escalate issues to keep projects on track.
• Assess KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
• Prepare and present project status, risk reports, and budgets to leadership.
