Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Regional Preconstruction Business Leader for North America Energy Services. This executive role shapes regional strategy and drives profitability across design-build, turnkey, and performance contracting.

You will partner with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and enterprise leadership to translate priorities into operating plans, oversee forecasting and resource optimization, and build a high-performing, accountable team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
10+ years of progressive leadership in energy services, preconstruction, project development, or related field.
Proven success leading teams and delivering strategic business results.
Strong understanding of market drivers, risk, development strategy, and customer solutioning.
Experience managing performance metrics such as project schedules, budgets, and scope.
Deep knowledge of Energy Services solutions, preconstruction practices, and financial/technical solution development.
Significant experience with Design-Build and ESPC delivery models.
Strong financial and commercial acumen, including forecasting, portfolio prioritization, business case evaluation, and Operating Income management.
Executive presence, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership for the region’s preconstruction business, with accountability for growth, profitability, forecasting accuracy, workforce planning, utilization, and overall business performance.
Shape regional strategy, investment priorities, and portfolio direction across the Energy Services opportunity landscape.
Translate enterprise and regional priorities into operating plans, execution strategies, and measurable business outcomes.
Lead strategic alignment across regional sales and operation teams to ensure focus on the highest-value opportunities and investments.
Partner across Sales, Operations, Engineering, and enterprise support functions to elevate opportunity quality, execution readiness, and customer outcomes.
