Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. in Morton Grove, IL seeks a Regional Pharmacist Trainer to develop, mentor, and support pharmacists across Long-Term Care locations and client facilities in the region.

You will lead onboarding, provide ongoing education and mentorship, standardize workflows, and collaborate with pharmacy leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality operations. This role suits an experienced LTC pharmacist passionate about education and leadership.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain licenses in surrounding states as needed (e.g., Indiana, Wisconsin).
• Minimum of four (4) years of Long-Term Care pharmacy experience.
• Experience training, mentoring, precepting, or educating pharmacists and staff preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and orientation programs for newly hired pharmacists.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship across the region.
• Develop and facilitate training sessions, materials, and competency assessments.
• Partner with leadership to identify training needs and implement professional development plans.
• Standardize pharmacy workflows, procedures, and best practices across locations.
• Train pharmacists on FrameworkLTC, FrameworkECM, DocuTrack, and other platforms.
• Support implementation of new processes, technologies, and initiatives.
• Assist with onboarding newly acquired facilities and transitions.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, compliance, and patient-centered care.
• Monitor pharmacist performance and identify coaching needs.
• Maintain training records and documentation per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Operations to align training with standards.
• Measure effectiveness of training via onboarding success, workflow improvements, and quality metrics.
