Job summary

SpecialtyRx, a Long-Term Care pharmacy leader, seeks a Regional Pharmacist Trainer to lead onboarding, education, and workflow standardization across multiple LTC locations in Ohio. The role requires traveling regionally and supporting the rollout of new processes and technology.

The ideal candidate has LTC pharmacy experience, strong teaching and leadership skills, and comfort with cross-site collaboration to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Pharmacist license required.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain pharmacist licensure in Kentucky, Virginia, Illinois, and Indiana as business needs require.
• Minimum of four (4) years of Long-Term Care pharmacy experience.
• Experience training, mentoring, or educating pharmacy staff is preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC, FrameworkECM, DocuTrack, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple training initiatives.
• Travel approximately 40–60% throughout the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and orientation programs for newly hired pharmacists.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to pharmacists across the region.
• Develop and facilitate training sessions, educational materials, and competency assessments.
• Partner with pharmacy leadership to identify training needs and develop plans.
• Standardize workflows and best practices across locations.
• Train pharmacists on FrameworkLTC, FrameworkECM, DocuTrack, and related platforms.
• Support implementation of new processes and operational initiatives.
• Assist with onboarding new facilities and transitions.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, compliance, and patient-centered care.
• Monitor performance and identify coaching opportunities.
• Maintain training records per company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and leaders to align training with standards.
• Measure onboarding success, workflow improvements, and quality outcomes.
• Stay current on LTC regulations and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
