Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Sr. Regional Operations Manager to lead a team of regional managers, drive inspection quality, and own regional OKRs. You will use data to optimize inspections, develop processes, and guide the team across multiple markets.

You will also hire inspectors, collaborate with sales, product, and quality leadership to ensure regional success, and train staff on OPENLANE applications and procedures. This is an on-site leadership role based in Carmel, IN.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5+ years of proven leadership experience.
• Must have minimum 2+ years of automotive mechanical experience.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Regional Operations Managers and be accountable for overall Objectives and Key Results of the inspection team (defined by manager).
• Ensure policies, processes, procedures, and tools used in inspections are understood and followed to meet regional SLAs and targets.
• Foster strong dealer relationships and collaborate with OPENLANE sales team to realize opportunities and drive growth.
• Assist in hiring inspectors (contractors and full-time) within assigned regions.
• Collaborate with Marketplace and Commercial Sales Team leadership for regional success (growth forecasting, scheduling, etc.).
• Work with scheduling team to ensure on-time inspections and efficient use of resources.
• Train inspectors on OPENLANE applications, inspection processes, and job functionality.
• Complete VOC and eNPS calls as needed.
• Use data to identify inspector trends, capacity, quality improvements, and consistency metrics.
• Serve as a point of contact for inspectors regarding compensation, task assignment, and process updates.
• Communicate inspection feedback to all departments and coordinate with leadership across sales, product, quality, and arbitrations.
• Contribute to training program development, validation, and review.
• Work in the field with Regional Operations Managers and inspectors to ensure quality standards are met.
• Utilize multiple communication tools within OPENLANE.
