Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Sr. Regional Operations Manager to lead, coach, and mentor a team of Regional Operations Managers, driving regional success and using data to inform decisions.

You will oversee inspection processes and ensure quality standards across the region, partnering with inspectors and OPENLANE sales teams to realize opportunities. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of leadership in operations, 2+ years of automotive mechanical experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong tech

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven leadership experience in operations
• 2+ years of automotive mechanical experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Working knowledge of technology and electronic inspection reports
• Willingness to travel as required

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Regional Operations Managers and be accountable for overall objectives and key results of the inspection team
• Ensure policies and inspection processes are understood and followed to meet regional SLAs and targets
• Foster strong customer relationships with dealers and OPENLANE sales team to realize opportunities
• Assist in hiring inspectors (contractors and full-time) within assigned regions
• Collaborate with Marketplace and Commercial Sales Team leadership for regional success (inspection needs, growth forecasting, scheduling)
• Work with scheduling team to ensure timely inspections and optimal use of resources
• Train inspectors on OPENLANE applications and inspection processes
• Conduct VOC and eNPS feedback calls as needed
• Use data to identify inspector trends, capacity, quality, and consistency improvements
• Serve as a point of contact for inspectors regarding compensation, task assignment, and process updates
• Communicate inspection feedback across departments and with leadership to ensure regional success
• Participate in creating and validating training programs
• Work in the field with managers and inspectors to uphold quality standards
• Utilize multiple communication tools within OPENLANE
• Act as reserve inspector for new markets and capacity gaps
